I also think it makes it interesting to see classic teams in the city play against the power lg teams in the tourney..I kno 2yrs ago I played for mbe the black team. We won wick I forget which night, but first round we played a power lg team at sijan and won like 25-2..it was fun for us and the crowd cuz we weren't 'suppose' to win

It makes it interesting on tuesday maybe, when was the last time MULTIPLE non power league teams made it to weds? I mean if your goal is to have the crowd root for you and still lose thats great. Just two years ago I basically slept at the city office hoping to get our KA team in city now two years later I couldn't pay for a teams spot and have a team play for free. Times have changed, softball used to be about trying to be the best, now its about finding a place to beat up on teams you know you are better than. You can make as many excuses about traveling and convieneince as you want, but at the end of the day thats just an excuse. I would also like to know how many tournaments you are going to play this year with teams entered like Hanke, SHirtsandLogos, Velocity, Burghardt, KA etc all playing. I think we know the answer the answer is you'll find another tournament. Challange yourself and challange the rest of us, you teams that are dodging are good enough and I would rather play 15 good teams than play against teams that I know I'm gonna beat without trying. Thats just me and the way I came up watching softball.

All these teams that are being talked bout have great bats that's def not an issue haha I like that ^^ So from Travel to Bats now? Really, give it up.. quit making excuses and challenge yourselves. If you get beat it will only make you better. I know I for one have gotten better playing with and against better teams. It's just how it works. And really you play 2-3 6 pm games the whole season in city it seems like so don't use that as a reason you guys aren't gonna play power league. Quit making excuses and step up, no one cares if you win a wick title or county rec. Not gunning on velocity, but they won rec what 2 or 3 years in a row? they stepped up and played Majors, they didn't have the success that they had at rec but I can guarantee they were a better team then the year before.

Bgraser I aint making excuses for shit..I enjoy playing ball but I WORK and have a family..if I play in a tournament on the wknd its cuz someone asked me. If I play on a team its cuz I got my brother or friends on the team. I don't ask what teams were playing but yes we played plenty vs guys from KA and coaches etc..rarely is a complete team at a tournament. Honestly man u can jag off to this softball shit all u want to like u get paid. But u don't. I play cuz I enjoy it. So at the end of the day u do u and I will do me. If ur league aint full it aint my problem

sweet take. You have a job and the rest of the 150 power league players dont or have families either. Its ok if your satisfied with being average, the rest of the guys who want the best teams in our league will continue to work to be the best so when we(and there are quite a big number of teams) go represent this state out at worlds we can come home with some hardware. And none of those guys get paid either. I guess we will see you on the field and i hope the crowd roots for you guys on tuesday again.

This meeting on Wednesday for all the Major/Power League managers should be very interesting! Just a thought to you guys who are calling out teams to play majors, power league. did any of you guys ask these team why they werent gonna step up??, instead of just posting and ripping on the teams....when we(Velocity) won county inseam the first time we decided to wait one more year cause i didnt think we were ready for county majors. I felt we were not ready and didnt want to get mopped and then the better players get cherry picked and leave to go to the KA, coachs, amann's of the world then we have no team at all! However no body ever came up to me and ask me why we decided to do what we did anyone with a computer just typed there thoughts. I spent the weekend in marquette with a guy who plays on one of the "called out" teams and they cant field a team on Wednesdays so they cant play majors and the guys dont care enough to change there life around to fill a softball league. I would suggest any manager from a power team be there Wed. so they can voice there opinion about what county should do about the tournaments and power leagues.....

However like Burgy said, We did learn more about our team and did get better by playing majors in one year then any previous year we ever played.

People should remember that we Monkey Bar/Moda 3, was put together last year. Yes we had a great year, but it was the first time the majority of us all played together...
For the tournament question Brandon G., it seemed that our team could never get everyone committed, ie jobs, family, etc. Hopefully this up coming season, we can field a whole team and be competitive again...

Chad what did you gain out of playing county lower again? Not being a a$$ here, but you were playing city against the same teams, why not play the county as well? All i want is the best teams in the area to play against each other, it only makes us all better, so if we think your team should be playing up take it as a compliment.

maybe true that shaved bats are used more in lower leagues but also you gotta remember the players tht may swing them arent has good as most of the players in the majors that may or may not swing them. chad does make a good point that young teams that are up and coming alot of times their best players get picked up by the better teams.
