Is that Hitmen us or a Milwaukee area Hitmen team?
I have been brining this idea to our team and others in the La Crosse area. If this gets going I would think we will be involved and hopefully be able to get a dozen or so teams from the West side of the State involved as well. If this can get started as a state wide circuit I can only see it growing from that point. If our area tournaments get involved as Brandon is working on make happen I would expect the "usual suspects" would get involved. i.e. Bud Light, State Room, Petticoat, Multistack, Breakaway, Flipside, FMB, Sweet Shop, Vogue, etc. . to start with and the other teams that you tend to see at all the local tournaments such as Sparta(s), Holmen, Onalaska/Arcadia, Dairy Days, etc . . . Waiting to Hear back from Sill but I see no reason why the "Stars of Yesterday" in La Crosse 4th of July weekend wouldn't particpate.
This is a great idea and encourage our side of the state (as well as the whole state) to look into this, ask questions, and bring to the attention of teams and tournaments in your area. Also, bring tournaments and teams to Brandon's attention and he will contact them as well. This would give every tournament involved a little bit more of a reason to play than just the weekends prize. . .

I would still encourage opening up the Home Run Limit . . . I will definitely discuss and debate it.

I want to thank Brandon and his "staff" for taking the time and effort to get this going. Something like this is not a 5 minute job. Many hours have been put into this as we all can see after reading this stuff.. Dont you have a job??? hahaha jk. I have read comments and posts and kinda waited to make up my mind what I thought. I am 100% in agreement with this idea. As a tournament director how can you go wrong? You possibly get more teams, which increases profit, and in return all he asks is an email... You can keep all your own rules. You dont have to get into your profits for them helping promote YOUR tournament. You will bring different teams to your tournament. I think thats a no brainer. As a guy who runs a team - yes 8 were d major team - why not try something different? One of the biggest complaints I hear people say "It sucks playing the same teams every weekend" now this will help. Plus it will make some teams play in different tournaments than normal trying to accumulate more points. Sounds like a win - win for all in my opinion. There is no doubt that the first year will have alot of bumps in the road. Teams need to know this going in and work with the directors to make this what we all want it to be. I wish the directors nothing but the best luck. Hoping all teams will give this serious thought and a chance to succeed.

I believe the end of the year event has a chance to be better than any other tournament we've ever had in Wisconsin. The states best teams playing for the most money. Should make for some great games and competition. Every semi-serious team in Wisconsin (upper or lower level) should give this a try for the first season at least!

Added Players Park and Lumpy's as sites for WSC events in 2012 for the teams in the Kenosha Area.
I think that this is going to be a outstanding event and for everyone thats complained that there isn't something good in this area to play or that rules are too strict or rosters are too tight, this is the way to go. A way to rank teams based on tournament play and have a meaningful big payout first class event at summers send. (and its a good payout for both your Upper and Lower class teams, something for everyone!)

Think we should come up with a recommended set of rules for the WSC. Send them to all the tournament directors and they can choose to adopt them or not. Hopefully most will use them but understand some won't. At least we can try to make things as uniform as possible.
Also a +1 or 2 rule for home runs should be fine. Don't need a crazy high number that way.

I will be sending a WSC packet to every person running a WSC event encouraging them to follow and stick towards the rules of the WSC. However its not gonna happen in ever event. I know some events wont change, and thats OK.

now since rules are pretty set and there is a base for where we are heading, its now more important to get all the teams that say yeah this is cool to fill out that entry form and get spots filled up. It won't do any good to have 20 tournaments of the same rules if the teams don't sign up.

Would like to welcome on EGGERS IMPRINTS as one of the sponsors for the WSC. Hopefully just the first of many sponsors to make this a excellent event.
Most of you have expressed positive things about the WSC, I'm positive with all of us trying to make for a better WI softball product that we will no doubt get plenty of teams and grow this to make a showcase for WI softball players. Please feel free to give me your input and let me know if your team is interested!
