Hi All
Another Woody Weekend is in the books. Here are the highlights:
2-0 DM Interiors / Wilderness Whitetails Team Busch Light (Indiana) Schneider Monuments Sals Pub
1-1 Vinyl Pro Team Strupp Jerry's Colts Double Vision (Kons Trenching)
Team Busch Light from Indiana beat DM Interiors in the first game then lost in the final by 5.
The HR Derby was won by 2 local players (Dean Muthig--Vinyl Pro $370 and Scott Cerveny ---Pope Transport $215)
A storm hit Friday night at 7:00 that stopped the games for the night. The 0-2 bracket was cancelled and games resumed on Sunday.
I just want to thank all of the teams for playing this year. I had to break a cardinal rule and change the ball on Sunday of the tournament. The ball we used on Friday and Saturday was really hot and we ended up losing 60-70 balls in the woods and farm fields that border the park. Teams scored over 50 runs 8 different times with the high being 67. Guys were hitting the ball ridiculoulsy far. We didn't have enough balls to finish the tournament and had to switch back to the ball we used the previous year. (Thank God or we would still be playing the championship game with score 312-320 going into the bottom of the third). All the teams were very understanding ---thank you!!!
All in all it was another good weekend. Hopefully we will see everyone back next year.
Thanks
Paul

Great tournament again Paul, thanks to you and all the volunteers for all the work that makes the woody so great!! I like the sell jobs on Sunday trying to get us to win the beer trophy!! It ends at 1 or wait maybe 3 The rainout Saturday killed our chances!! Fields were great Sunday after the rain Saturday, and the change of ball was fine, made games become a little more defense and solid hitting vs. crazy bomb after crazy bomb. Can't wait until next year, Here's to no 8 AMs!! #13 Team Strupp

Once again the Woody will be the best tournament of the year. The strategy, the even teams, the great games, the well organized tournament make for a great time. Well done to all the Badger Tap volunteers.
The ball change was the best thing for this tournament.
Every game we played on Sunday came down to the last at bat. Very even games with all the teams, with scores in the teens.
Well done Paul, No rain next year....
