I am assuming that you have to play in an ASA sanctioned league to be entered into the state tourney in said class. So I live in Wausau I would have to play at least one night a week at Sunny Vale with all the guys on the team that would be entered into the state tourney. Is this correct, or is it any league and they check you out?

it can be any league.....it just costs more to get your ASA registration card if you do it on your own vs going thru an ASA league

If your C or D team doesn't play in an ASA Sanctioned league you will need to pay each year $50 to do get sanctioned. Thanks Dewey.
I am very curious to know how many C teams we have in Wisconsin in 2011.

"Can someone start listing all the Class C teams in the state of Wisconsin for 2011 that qualify for ASA state. "
I'm with this. Lets start a list of all the teams from the state that should be in a state quality tournament. No matter the Class A-D
Lets get that list along with the contact info of the person running the team and then maybe I will put together a tourament that calls out those teams. Brandon maybe you could help me.
I will work on sponsors to help pay for the entire thing to be run. So teams have to pay little to no entry fee and still have prizes or prize money.
What does everyone think of this?

I would be down with this, however, it would be better if the money went towards entry fees to the worlds and nationals of a association. Maybe say a ASA qualifier. I'm pretty certain that I'd like to run my early bird next year as something like this.

maybe the top 2 or 3 teams would get world births of their choice from either NSA or ASA if we can work that out. I will see if I can get a travel agency to sponsor for a prize to the winner to help with the travel to worlds.

crow bar (D) - Tomah (played state last year) Stickney Excavating (D) - Tomah Great River Harbor (C or D) - Alma Center ? Grassland has a good looking team, not sure where they are from
I know there are a lot more from the Lax and Holmen leagues too... Also, what about from up north... Stickerts, Hagers, Ripps, Yaeger Auto, Electro-glo, Bahamas... Some competitive teams we have met at some of the tourneys up north we go to.. not sure how many are still around...

The B rated Stickerts is no more. Yaegar barely plays tournaments now because of kids. I don't think that there is much more north of Wausau, but could be wrong. Used to have Superior Trucking, AJ's Construction, and Office Bar all of which were C teams that played state, but I think that all those teams are not together anymore.
Gordie could give you an idea on the Marshfield teams such as Taco Johns. ECC is B out of Rapids.
